What car wash soap does Autopia prefer???

Don't forget the EF PowerWash+. Great stuff, suds last a long time, powerful to strip off grime (but safe, of course), pleasant smell. Concentrated so it lasts a reasonably long time.

Is the Eagle One WET (I'm assuming this is the RED car wash?) better than Mother's California Gold?

I hadn't been overly impressed with the Mother's but only noticed recently that I'd only been using it at about HALF its recommended concentration! D'oh! :doh

But I also have P21S and Meg's GC shampoos in my arsenal now, to try out this spring. :xyxthumbs

Buy lots! Try them all! :D

I'm not fond of the EO Wet's smell. It's very perfumey, like old ladies perfume or something. I'm finally near the end of the half gallon that I bought last year. I picked up some TW brand wash based on what others here said. I like the smell.

I don't light candles and drink wine with my car, but I do like to shampoo it with something that smells good to me.

It's far more important to use a proper technique and good quality mitt than it is to pay in the double digits for car wash.

I'd like to try more kinds of wash. But they sell them in such large bottles. My wife asked me when I picked up the TW wash yesterday, "The gallon is only $1 more than that half gallon. Why don't you get it?" Because I don't want to be tied down to the same wash for too long.

Heck, I just need to put up more shelving.

I have been very happy with Zaino Z-7 car wash, and it has given me great results. I have not tried a lot of different products, because I have been satisfied with Zaino.

For MY car the preferred fav's are 1Z Exclusiv Glanz or Perls shampoos. Both clean great, very lubricating, and leave excellent gloss, just a bit costly.

For OTHERS, I'm currently using Mothers Cali Gold, but once that is gone I want to try Meg's NXT shampoo.

Eagle One Wet is the Red one. I like it very much and don't think about the smell. In fact I don't think I ever paid any attention to how it smells.

I've only used the NXT wash, it's super slippery on the car with my fluffy sponge. it says to use one ounce but it's hard to gauge it. Smells so good I have one bottle in the garage and one in the bath. Just kidding, I don't have a garage!

That's way too funny :up .

I use the Tropi-Care Car Wash and I have a bottle of Meguiars Gold that Im working through as well. The TC wash seems to have the best cleaning properties of about any other wash Ive used and its really concentrated so a little goes a long way.

Ive used the NXT wash as well and it is pretty good. The problem I have with it, however, is it breaks my hands out in a rash after using it. My skin is pretty sensitive to certain chemicals and I guess the NXT wash must have one of them in there.

I also like QEW when Im short on time or its cold outside. It works amazingly well for what it is.

Tom what did you think of the WG soap?

Im not Tom but I have used WG auto bathe.

I like the suds.... SUDS galore!! It's almost to sudsy, as when I put my Sheepsking was mitt away it takes forever to rinse all the suds out of it!! The smell is also great as is the lube factor. It rinses very well but the end result isnt anything as "sparkely" like SOnax gives. I like it but wouldn't buy anymore once this bottle is gone.

I really like Zaino's car wash, and I use it on the car that I use Zaino on. Other than that, I like Pinnacle bodywork shampoo. I plan on trying P21S, Sonax, and 1Z Perls in the near future.

It's also hard to beat GC, and NXT is great as well. There are so many great choices. You can't really go wrong with any of them.
