What can go over Megs #16

Is there anything I can put ontop of #16 without messing up how it looks or hazing it?

Can I put anything ontop of this wax to make it shinier and wetter looking?

Simply enough... more #16. It's debatable, but most agree that cars hold up to 4 layers of wax.

I heard I can't put #16 over #16....

Should be fine. It's actually better that attempting to use something like liquid #26 over itself. Paste waxes hold up well upon multiple applications because they have less solvents than do the liquid waxes.

There isn't much to top #16 with.



For dark cars I have used Souveran Paste and for light cars, I have used s100.



I maintain the Souveran topper with Crystal Mist and maintain the s100 topper with Quickshine. I maintain #16 by itself with Final Detail. I love that stuff.

Sure, you can do that. Don't think you'll see much difference though. If anything, you'll be 100% guaranteed that you didn't miss a spot!



Remember with #16, thin coats and don't let it sit for a long time. I got side tracked and had it sit for 45 minutes on my hood and literally had to scrub with a microfiber to remove!

Hey! You can try NXT (purchased locally) and top THAT with #16.



People here seem to like that combo.

If you have a dark car and want it to have a deeper look to it you can put a layer of #7 on BEFORE you put on your #16.



You can also put a layer of #20 on BEFORE you put on your #16. I've read this makes it shinier but I haven't tried it myself.

More #16 would be my recommendation. 2 coats then stop.
