Safari is for Apple only, right?

Just downloaded Firefox and I am impressed. Extremely easy to use, and very fast. As long as it holds up to its reputation for security, I have a new browser.

Wait till you tweak it...It will be even faster if you are on broadband....:D

I have been using FF for a while now since it came out and I love it. I use now on my desktop and all my laptops.

I even started using Thunderbird (mail client) which works great with my AOL account..:up

I too have been using Firefox for some time but, make sure you have applied the latest updates as there were several critical security updates recently. You should be at version 1.0.3.

I think you might mean 1.0.3

I ran an update and it indicated I had the current version.

Maybe I'm wrong :nixweiss

After reading this thread, I downloaded Opera 8.0 to see what all the buzz was about, and I find it to be......*okay*. I don't find it to be any faster or slower than IE, but is a bit more difficult to use. Granted, I am new to Opera so I'm sure I would get used to eventually, but I think I am going to stick with IE for now.

Maybe the speed difference is noticed more with a slower connection like dial-up or a budget DSL. ??

Initial setup takes a little long, but once setup to your like it is good to go. The most secure browser! :up

Nope, you are correct it is 1.0.3.

Sorry about the confusion :o

I corrected the other post.

I have been playing with Safari 2.0 which is the new browser included with Tiger. It's the fastest browser I have ever used by at least 50%. Those with Macs will be pleased. :)

I have used firefox in the past and all i got is errors and crap, it's worse then internet explorer sometimes so i just use IE mostly since i formatted and it's been working very well so far :xyxthumbs aslong as u update your OS it works fine
