what brand of gasoline do u use?

that it was wise to rotate through several different brands of gasoline because the detergents and additives from one will clean the detergents and additives of another. :nixweiss

That said, I rotate through Exxon, Chevron, and Amoco/Tesoro because they are closest to my house and the only ones that carry premium (91 octane at 4500 ft elevation). I steer clear from Texaco... both my husband and I have gotten bad gas from them in the past.

I fill up once a week on Thursdays at Ultramar. I get their high octane gas. I use Ultramar because they have a 3 cent/liter discount on the high octane gas on Thursdays. Here the gas stations all charge the same. If I need gas on a different day of the week, I get Esso. I pay for it with my Zellers card and get HBC points. All those names you Yanks don't recognize are Canadian companies ;)

I use Chevron mainly, but Mobil if I can't find a Chevron. I carry both of their CCs.

More importantly, what I've found out is, that they're ripping us off price wise here in California. Scottwax says he pays $1.39 for premium in TX. I just got gas yesterday and paid $1.70 for Chevron premium (which is the least expensive Chevron station around).. But then again, it was like 65 degrees at 3 o'clock, we have to be cursed with something.

I agree with that sentiment...gas prices suck here. and we don't even get 93/94 octane! as for stations, i usually get cheveron, mobile, or 76; it really doesn't matter that much to me. only big concern is not to fill up when a tanker is filling or has just finished filling the station up. that mixes up crap that was originally settled down in the gas tanks, and ends up getting pumped into your car :o

I mix it up for my 69 GTO. One half Sunoco 94 and the other half 110 racing fuel. $3 a gal. for the good stuff, but the goat loves it! :D

I'm not particular about what gas I use... preferrable the cheapest.

Since I drive an '01 Cobra and can only use the Premium stuff, I search out the best prices. There is a gas station down the street that charges 1.77 a gallon, but I drive 15 miles down the road and I can get it for 1.52. It's worth it to me to go out of my way for the cheaper (less expensive gas)

Agreed, some people have cheap gas and -20 degree highs. Guess since nobody can drive anywhere, the gas is cheap.

Here, the weather is great and I pay $1.93 for chevron super unleaded when I use it. It's worse in the bay area, I didn't see a single station with premium gas below $2 while in san jose this weekend.

I got an email, concerning where the major brands buy their oil. All I can remember, is Citgo buys American owned oil for their gas. The big names like Amoco, Texaco, etc. all by from the Arabs. I dont like giving my money to Terroists! Not all Arabs are terroists I know. It was an article from the Department of Energy US, not someones opinion.

Arco is what my Nissan's been drinking for 16 years and never a problem. However, with that said, I use Chevron or 76 in the Vette. I don't feel Arco is bad for the Vette, just like to use the "best" for it.

I usually use Mobil because it's close and I have the little Speedpass thingy. When I take my car to a track event I mix in 3 or 4 gallons of 100 octane unleaded. :D

Shell or Esso (Exxon)- premium only.

Shell has more detergents and seems to burn more cleanly, while Esso has 92oct (the highest available here) and has a slight power edge.

I used CO-OP gas once, but added a bottle of octane boost in the process, and apologized profusely to the car until I filled up again.

Shame, shame...:p

Gasoline? who uses gasoline when u could use diesel

seriously though, i think the best gas is texaco or shell, my t-bird is picky and there is a noticable difference when using those two brands also bp seems to be decent
