What backing do you use for a microfiber bonnet?

I use foam instead. Wool pads seem to compress with use and eventually get to the point where they don't provide much cushioning. I've gradually quit using them with my MF bonnets in favor of foam, and I generally like foam cutting pads as they seem to grip the bonnets the best.

All good points. I do not use the bonnets that often but I will give you suggestions a shot.

I originally started with the MF bonnet over a regular foam pad, but it was a pain to put on so I started doing it over a wool and it works alot easier.

Valid point, you do have to find the right pad/bonnet combo if you don't want to struggle, and overstretching the bonnets can't be good for 'em either.

Most of my MF bonnet use is with the Cyclo, and all my bonnets seem to fit fine over the yellow cutting pads.

With the PC, I have to be more careful with the pad/bonnet combos, but my preferred MF bonnet for it, the Meg's one, fits fine over a 7006 (6" cutting pad).
