What are your winter prep plans?

:wall

How do you think BFCS will fair up against road salt?

Prepped my car for winter this past saturday while my fiance was out at the g a y(dont know why i cant just spell that word without it being censored) block party. Did what everyone usually does, cleaned, clayed, polished, sealed, and waxed. I really wish I had my own garage, had to do it all at one of the many car washes around my area. Started at 10pm and finished at 1:50am... Was not fun waiting in my car and hour for my sealant to fully cure. I used the advise I heard on here and just used some car shampoo mixed with water for my clay lube. Really couldnt afford another detailing spray. I bought a sample pack from Poorboys World, didnt even use all of it. The Black Hole glaze smelt amazing, so did all their products. It really made it easier to work with good smelling products. I used their EX-P sealant and topped that with some Meguairs wax. Wish I had a different wax, but o well I guess. My Soul came out looking amazing, I was really impressed with what $20 worth of products did. Only thing im mad at is i forgot to bring along my tape. So some of my black trim got sealant on it and I have to figure out a good way to take those white marks off... A machine would have save me a good hour at least.

I started my winter prep over the weekend.

Foam Cannon w/ CG CW&G @ stripping power
Washed using 2BM w/ CG CW&C @ stripping power
Dried w/ CarPro WW towel.
IronX
Clay w/ Sonus Grey
Re-Foamed w/ CG CW&C
Werkstat Prime Strong via. Flex 3401 & 5.5 LC White Flat
Werkstat Acrylic Jett x5

At this point the gloss is just great in my opinion. While I do like that Nuba glow Werkstat AJ really brings the gloss.

I will let it be for a week or so. Then I might do a few more layers of WAJ or just use Sonus Acrylic Glaze as my topper post washes.

Man I bet that Sorento looks clean, really wanted to get one of those instead of the Soul. Does your paint chip easily? Also, does your front bumper have the same factory defect as the Souls? They tightened the Soul bumper too much and it causes the paint on the front fenders to peel in between the seems....

I'm going to polish with M205 and then I'm getting a vinyl wrap put over my whole car. I am not going to deal with this clear coat failure crap anymore!!!

My winter prep plans will be more relaxed then most (Florida ftw). Considering I will be getting my car back from the bodyshop (maybe today even) I plan on removing overspray, fixing their mistakes, and topping with Wet Ice over Fire.
