What are your goals in 2010?

I am looking forward to completing my doctorate in Freelance Gynecology this year! (j/k).

1. Become a faster detailer by refining my movements and process efficiencies.

2. Expand my list of higher end customers.

This can be about detailing, jobs, finances, life, whatever!

For me it will be:

  • Detailing More Classic Cars
  • Getting my Retirement "Routine" down
  • More Corvette Road Trips this summer
  • Helping some people who need the help

What's are your goals?

Those sound like good, solid goals Bill!

I want to:
Win the lottery:toetap05:
Enjoy "work" (detailing isn't really work... it's fun!:partaaay:) as much as possible.
Not screw up anyone's car:blacksmith:
Add to my client roster:money:
Lose a little weight... I've got a bad back, broke it racing motocross back in the '70's/ruptured a disc last year, and a little less weight on it would be good for me.
Take a lot of trips out to Utah to visit my 90 year old mom... she's a hoot: 2 martinis a day and still drives!!:driving::Car smiley: ... but not after the martinis:biggrin:
And just have fun!:clap::)

I've noticed quite a few guys who want to lose some pounds. (Me included!) Maybe we should start a little "accountability" group.....(hmmmm)

good post bill;
i'd like to
1] get all four of our cars 100% corrected

2] change the door panels on the vette that have been sitting in the box for a year.

3] get the vette on the road this spring

4] get in better shape and play more golf

5] love more and laugh often...

1) Keep my job.
2) Visit family 1300 miles away
3) Gain 4 pounds
4) Refinish kitchen cabinets
5) Help more in the community

Regards,
GEWB

I remebered this thread/post from last year and thought it would be entertainintg to update:

Get Married in Oct
Either detail less or find an assistant that can work every day I need him to so that I can enjoy more of my summer instead of working 7 days a week!
Drywall the ceiling in my garage
Improve condition of lawn
Add new privacy fence to back yard
Start with building the backyard I want

Goal #1 get married = accomplished: We got married in Oct and it was absolutely perfect. Best of all, it was paid off by the day of the wedding... :hurray:

Goal #2 find an assistant or detail less = FAIL. I was not able to find an apprentice that had what it took. I tried 2 guys this season and it just didn't work. After investing a large amount of time training these guys, when the 2nd one didn't work out I was not up to going through it again.

Goal #3 dry wall ceiling of garage/shop: DONE! It was A LOT more work than I had originally planned. Dry walling an 11 ft high ceiling is not so much fun. I learned to let a pro do that next time....lol

Goal #4 Improve condition of lawn = SUCCESS!! While my lawn is not award winning, I no longer hang my head in shame... Neighbor actually said it?s the best the yard/house has looked in 25 yrs!!

Goal #5 Build privacy fence in back yard = accomplished. Again, this took much more blood & sweat (literally) than I had expected but the gain is awesome

Goal #6 Start building the yard I want: Got a good start in 2010. I refinished my deck, added speakers to deck/back yard area. Build a stone patio with a fir pit in the center. Built a 2.5 ft retaining wall in back. Harvested and transplanted $600 in hostas. Built a 759 sq. ft flower/shrub bed.

All in all, I am very happy with 2010. It was a sucessful year on many different levels.
