What are you putting on your car to prep for the winter?

After prepping yesterday I added AIO, then 845IW today.

I might add another layer of the colllinite, hopefully it will last through a Chicago winter!

It doesn't get much rougher than the winters we get here in New England. So, I put on my car DP Premium Surface Shield x1 and Collonite 845 x2. I'll probably wash every so often in the garage with Optimum NRW and maybe wax one more time during the winter.

I started using Menzerna products this year and I'm hooked... so that's what our cars are getting for the winter. Wash, dry, clay, FP2, glaze (if necessary b/c both cars are fairly new), and then FMJ.

This stuff lasts quite a while. I applied them to my car back in April or May and the water was still beading last week. The beads weren't as small as on a fresh coat, but it looked better than a wax job after 2-3 months.

Last week, I did a full claying and cleaned the paint with ColorX. Since I didn't have enough time, I just left the ColorX on it and came back to it today. I just put on two layers of spit-shined Collinite 476S this morning. Just now, I put on one more layer (spit-shined). I plan on waiting about a week, and doing another two layers. Then I'm going to look for some DG Aquawax in my local stores and will be using that to refresh my protection every wash.

Over the last 5 weeks I put on my car 1 coat of Duragloss #105, ! coat of Wolfgang sealant , and 1 coat of Collinite 845. The car shines like crazy, and at 35 mph the beads just blow off.
