I received my Ultima Paint Guard + today and just had to give it a go.
After cleaning the hood of dust (I did NOT strip the surface of previous products) I applied the UPG+. Immediately the effect was quite amazing, and yes, I realize it takes time to bond. Within 15 minutes it was deep, reflective, and amazingly slick. I am anxious to see how it looks tomorrow. This was applied in 95º heat with major humidity, the worst scenario......it was done in the shade. I am IMPRESSED! Frankly that says a great deal since I have detailed with many products for a number of years and few have met my expectations. I may be premature in judgement but so far this product EXCEEDS my expectations. I had tried a similar product by another maker but was somewhat disappointed with the results, even after several applications. So far, I am more than pleased with this product although it is a bit early to draw conclusions.
The fact that the 4 OZ size sells for the same amount as the 8 OZ size of the competitive product threw me for a long time but the recent discount offer made me go for it. I'm so glad I did, superb so far but I cannot comment on long term. The look is simply outstanding! Much better than any Wipe On Walk Away product used previously.
