What are these spots on my white pad?

I noticed this on my 6.5" and 4" white pads after using 106FA on my last detail. At first I thought it was just grit that got under the foam but it's all over both pads...I've tried getting them out with a toothbrush and I also threw them into the washing machine but I can't get rid of these dots. The orange pads that I used with SIP before this were perfectly fine, the car was carefully clay barred before hand, and I never dropped these pads on the ground... I managed to get a couple of these little spots out and they were hard...aka something I probably don't want to get on my paint. I washed the pads right afterwards so I didn't let the polish completely dry on them.

Have you washed them? That might be either tar embedded to the bad or just dust.

Yeah, I washed them multiple times, tried dawn power dissolver and a toothbrush, etc. The pieces are too huge to be dust and they're very gritty... I dont' think it can be tar because this happened after my last detail; after claying, I went over the car with M105 and SIP so if there was anything, it would have been caught in the previous steps. Can this be like dried up 106FA? Can I still use these pads? There are literally hundreds of those all over the pad insdie the foam and they feel like tiny pebbles

i'm thinking they're from the 106. do they seem more black, or are they grey like the 106 is? i've found the same thing happening to my pads with tiny bits of polish/clear stuck in them. a true pain to remove too may i say. the pigmented clear used on the honda s2000 has bled onto each pad i've used on it, and theres actually gummy clear coat stuck everywhere.... arg... what a mess
