Hi, all. I am new to this forum as well as to this business. Right now, I am looking for ranking information about car care product manufacturers or brands. Any one knows where I may find it?

I have heard Meguiar’s is a famous brand. Anyone can tell me other brands/makers compatible in quality and reputation? Who are the major players in US in car care products?

Thanks a lot for help.

Check out the online store link located on this site. You can't go wrong with any of the products there, although a ranking system is completely up to you.

Griot's Garage products are used on some of the finest cars in the world. I use them exclusivly on all my customers cars, they just love this stuff. All thier products come with a 100% satisfaction guarantee and lifetime guarantee. www.griotsgarage.com

all of production car care's products have a 100% money back guarntee....also....you could buy a gallon of productions products for the price of a 16 oz bottle of some of griots product.

The major players in the auto detailing busnessare Meguiars Mothers Eagle One and 3M. Their is also Zaino Zymol Klasse Collinite P21s/S100 and Pinnical. Their are also others that are very good.

I use Auto Magic.... easy to use and long lasting if you want good prices check out this web site sparkleauto.com i found they beet the manufacturers prices they offer... hope this helps...

Blackfire is a good company for a gloosy wax.

But for cleaning products, I go with Eimann Fabrik. I love their stuff, its simply amazing what it can do.

I have to agree with Tass on the EF stuff. I love the glass cleaner and the Multi Purpose cleaner. I have yet to meet an engine I cant get clean with this stuff.

i use 3m products mostly the compounds finesse it and microfinishing compound and glaze. i use meguairs polishes sometimes, i use the medallion wax if im only waxing the car. crystal shine by carbrite is a very versitile product and will produce amazing results used correctly almost always i will use crystal shine and finnesse it in 3-4 steps followed by a paste wax . i carry alot of other stuff with me every car is different ,sometimes you need something with alot of oils in it if you get a real dry car (dead paint) so you have to go with something a little more oily to rejuvinate it some of those junky chemicals may be just what you need sometimes to get you out of a hairy situation !!!

MMMMMMMMM.....Del Taco......about the only thing I miss about cali.....that and In & Out Burgers.......Someone mail me a double double.....animal style!!!

I've used 3M products for some time and love them. I also use P&S Car Care products. They have been in business for over 20 years. They have a system called smart wax. You have 4 levels from extra cut compound to finishing wax. I have used this with Ardex swril remover and 3M glaze for a great finish

You cant go wrong with any of the products the guys mentioned.

If you are just starting out and want to have a reliable supplier to kinda show you the ropes I like Car Brite and Pro the best for suppliers who offer it all. They have the highest quality and good prices and to your door service!

Meguiars, 3M and others are industry leaders in many waysand have awesome products but arent really catering to detailers like the kind of companies I mentioned.

If you call your local Car Brite distrubutor up and tell him what you want to do he will offer you free advice on the products you need to get started and will kinda walk you through the inital steps to setting up a shop.

Companies like Car Brite even offer factory training for their customers which is really cool.

Best regards,
John
