What are the best sources for MF waffle weave towels?

I have a 12 pack of MF from Costco. They are plush MF and not waffle weave. I haven't seen waffle weave there. I did the CD test and compared them to my year old YoSteve plush MF. Neither fabric marred the CD. The YoSteve binding (the sewing around the edges) marred the CD a little. The Costco MF binding marred it a little more. But only slightly more. The Costco MF didn't feel as grabby, stick to your fingers, as the YoSteve's did originally. If my memory serves me. The only issue I've found with the Costco MF is that their edges curl after washing. For less than $1 a piece, I can live with that.



With all this said. I do plan on ordering some plush MF and waffle weave from Pakshak. Gotta help keep the little guys in business.
 
When I was new to Autopia, I got some MFs from Pak Shak, and they are wonderful. But the waffleweave I have came from Microfiber Tech, and it amazes me and my detailing buddies. This weekend it dried three full-size cars (with maybe 30 mins. between washes), and was so absorbent that NOBODY had to wring it out. What a WW towel! :bow
 
I get my from Jason @ autogeek.net, purple 20x40. Just got a E-mail from Pinnaclewax.com for 20% off. I think they use the same waffle weave towels.:xyxthumbs
 
Hi guys, thanks again for your help. I think I'm going to order some MFs from Pakshak. I've been in contact with Ranney and the prices are excellent.



But my final question is how many do you think I should get, to be well stocked?



First off, I already have at home about 10 16x16 MFs, one is a white Meg's ultimate wipe, the other 8 or 9 are Norton's blue MFs.



Anyway, from Pakshak I was thinking of ordering:



2x : 25"x36" Waffle Weave MF towels (I think these will replace my Absorber for drying... will two be enough?)



5 to 10 : 16"x16" MFs (already have some, but what to get some of his too, try them out, maybe they're better than what I have, and more is always better right)



2 or 3 : 24"x24" MFs (never had this size before, but want to try them too).

Yep, 2 WW's are probably enough......at least to start with :-)

I kind of favor the 24 x 24 (or the 26 x 26 from neatitems.com) for removing product (waxes in particular), and use the 16 x 16 for just about everything else.......so I have more of the latter.

I would have to agree...When a detailer comes to me and asks what they should start out with I suggest 2 Waffle-Weaves, and 10 Terry Towels.....of course depending on how often you like to wash (that is your car and your towels) you might find the need to buy more!
 
How good are the mf's from walmart? I'm out of a job right now and thats all I can afford.

They are not bad. For 5 for $5.00 you can't beat them. I use them for polishing and cleaning my wheels, door jambs, etc. I save my Pakshak towels for QDing and wax removal.



Everytime I go into Walmart I seem to pick up a pack.:D
 
Guy. If you've got a Costco membership or a friend that does. Check the automotive section. They had 12 for $10. Decent towels too.
