What are the best products to use on a Black car?

I think it is a personal taste thing. I have seen carnaubas on lighter cars that look as good or better than a sealant (Paste Glaz for example). Then there are carnaubas that are better on darker cars (Souveran). I think UPP looks good on almost any color, be it dark or light. I don't think one is better than the other in any situation, it depends on the look/durability you are striving for. It's one of those situations where there is no right or wrong answer. :)

No Zaino doesn't get much love but that's okay. The point, and I believe that it will be difficult to refute, is that Zaino Z2Pro or Z5 will LAST and PROTECT longer than most anything out there. I'll be the first to admit that I have not used every product there is so that may blow my opinion out of the water and I truly don't want to start anything here. I'm saying that I believe that it may be possible to get as good or maybe even better "look" from other products but I don't think they last as long.

I Z2'd X 3 a white Impala that is driven on average 1800 to 2000 miles/month in dirty-ass city traffic over 9 months ago and up to about two weeks ago I could wash it then apply Z6 QD and it looked as good as the day I applied the Zaino. The reason I say up to 2 weeks ago is because it needed a strip and clay & another Z2 app. This is a non-garaged work car that gets the worst of the worst a non-4x4 muddin' vehicle could get.

In keeping with the initial topic, Zaino looks freakin' great on black. It looks freakin' great on white. It also looks freakin' great on red, blue and yellow. IF YOU PREPPED YOUR PAINT CORRECTLY FIRST.

To anyone who is leaning towards Zaino, do it! You won't be sorry. There is no complicated formula or mixtures, contrary to popular belief. If I can catch on anyone can 'cause I ain't that smart. Application is simple and straightforward and the results are as good as any product or combination of products that exist. The most impressive thing about Zaino is the durability.

how can that be? from the time i joined this forum till this day to the replys everyone is giving its obvious carnubas are for dark paints and synthetics for light. for the fact that carnubas give depth and gloss which compliments dark colors while synthetics reflect and magnify light colored colors that cant get the results of dark colored cars. can someone back me up here.
LMAO, i wouldnt even think about putting a carnauba on dark, its either Blackfire or UPP.......Actually, I dont even use Carnuabas anymore.....Sorry to be contraire.....

I'll side with you on this, I may put a sealant on underneath, but on the top will always be a blended carnauba. S100 and #16 are my two favorites.

oh well. i just ment to say that the general rule of thumb was that carnubas are for dark. but things change and so do people tastes...

The decision to use one product over another on a black vehicle is a matter of personal taste. If you do find a product that intrigues you, I would recommend doing a search to find more info.

My favorite products to use on black are Pinnacle Souveran, Blitz Wax, and Meguiar's #26.
