I can't seem to find the product spot-x in homedepot.

I checked in the cleaning aisle and can't seem locate the product, is it a regional product?

I live in NY, check the site and they don't have spot-x.

any help is appreciated.

I am trying to get rid of nasty water spots on my old toyota supra windows.

I tried vinegar and water diluted. I tried vinegar full strength. I don't want to use steel wool to scuff the window.

Thanks

Ask the people that work there.

Well, I'm not sure how other Home Depots are, but I've been to several in my area, and if you're SUPER lucky and actually manage to *find* one of those guys, they either:

1) Ignore you purposefully

2) Flat out lie to you... and don't even look you in the face or even acknowledge your presence while they're talking to you... or even stop walking.

sorry, I didn't mean to turn this thread into a HD rant

To the OP: Sadly your only choice might be to call HD on the phone and ask (hopefully people still pick up the phone in that store), unless you have a rare HD that's actually good.

I know what you mean. I don't hate the employee's at HD but they mostly helpful if they know what you are talking about.

If they don't know you usually don't bother to check or just flat out say they don't know what you are talking about.

I have been searching few HD, i have yet to see the bottle or combo(pad and spot-x).

I will have to look harder i guess.

My Girlfriends car had bad spotting on the windows, when I used Barkeepers friend, which is like comet but without abrasives it took them right off, I kinda made it like a paste with a little bit of water and used a foam applicator.

My guess is, if its there, it would be either in one of the paint aisles which has the heavy duty cleaners or it would be in the cleaners aisle which for some reason is over by the electrical department here in NY.

if you get really desperate, here are some links:

Spot-X Hard Water Stain & Spot Remover: NWBay On-line (this is ordering straight from the Spot-X site)

Amazon.com: Spot-X Hard Water Stain & Spot Remover: Home Improvement

Also, do you have CLR or Lime-A-Way? Combined with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, it can do wonders on water spots... not perfect, but it can make for a significant improvement - just make sure you wear gloves and rinse very thoroughly since you don't want that stuff sitting on the paint.
