What about the PC 333VS?

I've already got one of these (for woodworking):

As far as I can tell the only real difference between it and the PC buffer so often talked about here is the speed (5k - 12k OPM rather than 2.5k-6k OPM) and it is 5" instead of 6".

Has anyone used one of these as a buffer? Is it too fast to be used as such?

Thanks for tuning in...

I think it would probably be fone. The form factor is certainly different, making its CG higher - might make it a little harder to use - but otherwise I don't see why not.

That machine is only 2.4 amps, kinda weak. The 7336 or 7424 is 3.7 amps. It would probably work, just don't expect much.

I'm sure you're right about the torque... the 333 has a 2.4 amp motor versus the 3.7 amp motor of the 7424...

However, I've sanded with the 333 many a time, and really leaned into it several times - I was never in danger of stopping the motor.

Does anyone know where I could acquire some 5" pads? I'd like to give it a try and report the results...
