What 2 menzerna polishes?

Would the Menzerna Intensive Polish PO91E followed by Menzerna Final Polish II PO87MC be a good combo? Could you go directly from the intensive polish to the final polish II?

Or would the Power Finish PO 203 followed by the FPII be a better choice.

The classic Menzerna regimen was IP followed by FPII. The advent of the polishes intended for Ceramiclear changed that, the preferred regimen now seems to be SIP followed by PO106.

porta - have you experienced any filling with Power Finish? I had a really bad experience on new Meredes paint last weekend with it.

Some filling, yes - but not always. What pad did you use and what did you use to reveal the filling with?

I was working on a brand new rock hard S550 and used a PCXP / LC Orange / Power Finish. It looked really nice until I did an alcohol wipedown(prepping for Zaino). Holy smokes, the defects were gone but the hazing that was left was terrible. I then used LC White with M205 for the final win.

I have only noticed very minor filling, IE nothing spectacular. This is after orange coolshine pad and PO203S,now lsp, and multiple IPA wipe downs. Nothing came back. I have also tried 3M surface cleaner and/or alkalie washes on other cars and hardly get any filling.

Dave, dont you think the haze was from the orange pad? I tried it on a BMW alpine white yesterday and experience the same thing, but with less defect removal than I wanted. ended up two stepping it (owner and I changed plans) instead of a one step going for full defect removal. But there was haziness and I have to assume its from the orange pad because with a megs yellow, no haze

Yup, I am very surprised at how effective Power Finish is on the ceramic clear coat. It does leave some hazing, especially with the orange pad. When used with the white pad, it leaves almost no hazing. but still offers great correction power.

I have only used Power Finish with the rotary, so I am not familiar at how the product behaves with the DA.

Anyway, I personally think that Power Finish PO203 + PO85RD is a very versatile combo. This combo is quite effective on ceramic clears, but is not too aggressive either on non-ceramic clear coats. I believe both are free of filling, according to the manufacturer.

SIP then Super Finish 106

Im with this too. 106 is a great one stepper for both rotary that leave trails or haziness that 203 sometimes can. SIP is also great as a one stepper on some paints provided you work it correctly, finishing it down. 106 has proved incredibly versatile.
