Hey, I want to try WG sealent, but the reviews on here say that it attracts dust like no other. Is this true, and if it is would a top of souveran elimnate the dust problem?

Nothing is going to eliminate the dust problem. Especially adding a carnuba... It will look incredible if you top it with the Souveran, but it will not stop the dust problem.

I was told that washing the car eliminates dust attraction problems. It worked for me. The dust attraction ( I am speculating) may be some phenomena created by some electrostatic process involving the crosslinking, or curing of the polymers. I notice the same thing happening with several polymer sealants. It is different than the dust sticking to waxes, on the polymers, the dusting is finer, and seems to include mainly the lighter substances like lint and pollens. Of course , this is MHO.

Try washing after applying the sealant and before the LSP. Good luck !:xyxthumbs

I agree with mochamanz. I've had quite a bit of static with the accompanying dust attraction after applying WG and UPP but it does go away after the next wash.

I actually found WG to attract less dust than other sealants. It certainly attracts less dust that FK1's Pink Wax.

I had no dusting issues with WG at all - less than EX/EX-P, SRP etc. That said, the car's always garaged and I did apply 4 coats at 24 hr intervals over 2 layers of Carlack 68.

Yea my car is outside 24/7 so it gets abuse. Zaino never really had a huge dust problem, but i remember this guys webpage that took his cedes suv out half one kind of wax and the other zaino and the other side had significantlyless dust on it.
