Wetsanding, one direction, or all directions?

Now, I've been taught, and this was for removing chips, to go in all directions. up down left right diagonals and so forth.



But on Meguiars website it says go in one direction.



This confuses me. :nixweiss
 
One direction. It keeps your sanding even so you don't get low spots by going in all directions should you overlap some areas. It's easier to keep track of your work this way, and it will make it a lot easier to remove the sanding marks later.
