can you do that? abralon 6" 2000 then follow up by 4000 on a someday before repainted Mercedes, has tons of orange peel on it, and tell me of the 2000 an 4000 combo sounds good?

Aesop F1 said:Sanding with a machine is very aggressive. It is common in body shop and production lines when speed is the key. When you can take your time sanding by hand is a much better method. Also you need to be careful and sand evenly. Lastly a PTG is not going to tell you much on a repainted car. Unless you have a gauge that can read layers you will be guessing at the clear coat thickness. I work with a lot of classic cars and see readings from 80microns to 800microns on the same panel. On a factory painted car you could estimate the clear coat thickness but on a repainted car it will be impossible unless the body shop took it down to bare metal. Just my thoughts.
