I did a full job on a Grand Am today, and it turned pretty well, so I thought I'd share.
Little history on the car; its a 2001, grand am SE. Mods include body kit, NOS, heads, headers, intake, exhaust. Now, I'm not interested on how you think it is ricey or anything, this thread is to show off the detail, not the cars physical look.
Detail included engine, exterior, and interior packages. Exterior wasn't that bad, with slightly noticable swirling and some pretty decent scratchs. Interior had some grease stains on his seat covers and other interior trim. Engine bay was just normal dust and grime accumulation, so the job didn't seem all that difficult. The owner was with me the whole time, so excuse the lack of many detailed shots.
Exterior processes were:
SSR3 on cutting pad on scratches from kit install.
SSR2.5 on polishing pad to remove some minor swirling
NXT on polishing pad to blend in what defects I couldn't remove
Tires were topped with NoTouch
Trim and black grill inserts were "blackend" with Trim Restorer
Rims sealed with AIO and SG.
Interior Processes:
Spot treat grease stains
Scrub everything with Oxyclean mixture
Vacuum
Dress dash and other plastic/faux leather with Natural Look
Clean the wet suit material seats with water solution
Engine bay:
Allowed to cool during the exterior process
Degreased with 4:1 dilluted Varsol mixture
Topped with No Touch dressing and armor all
Before: (Notice the lack of depth and shine)
