Wet sanding? How Riskk?

I have come to the conclusion that my water spots are in the clear. I have tried numerious methods to try to remove them. I believe wet sanding would remove them but what are the risky I run into doing this? Is it close to rubbing compound. I have not tried that but figured it would do no better???
 
Wet sanding when done properly isn't that risky a propersition (read when done properly). Sandpaper (wet) is higher in abrasiveness than RC.



Are you using a PC or a Rotary? I've been able to get some pretty good water spots out w/my Rotary and a Heavy-Cut Leveler /w a LC Orange pad.
 
i have a pc. I have 3 white pads, 2 orange, 1 black, 1 4" yellow spot pad and 1 4" white spot pad. What would you define as a heavy-cut leveler. I have ssr2.5, dacp, some 3m swirl 39009. Is it worth the 25 bucks to put up a cheap rotary. I know you are never suspsoe to leave it in 1 spot. I think I would be ok. I woul just need to know what speed to set it on. I would hope my lc pads would work? I wish there was someone in N.C. willing to do this for me. I can maintain it with no problem. They were on the car when I bought it. Thanks morBid
 
From what i have read on here, a PC will have trouble removing wet sanding marks, so you may be in need of a rotary anyway?
