Go to www.xat.com and download the free version of the image optimizer. It is about a 1mb file, so even with dial-up, it takes less than 10 minutes to download. You can crop, compress and resize pics with ease, then save the optimized version. Very simple program to use.

<strong class='bbc'>Is Jason the person working on the white truck? Kind of close to that house if you ask me. [/b]</blockquote>
In the one pic the driver side door is against the wall. :P

NY Detailer, Do you work out of your house?

This was done at the owners home and the truck battery was dead. he gave us the ok to do the trunk right in that spot. In the pix it looked like there was not a lot or room, but we were able to get the wet/dry vac and equipment on that side.

I do some work from my home & some work at the customers home. What ever the customer wants it what i do.

As NY Detailer said, the truck battery was dead and could not be moved (without jump starting it.)

There was enough room to work in that space though, maybe 2 1/2 - 3 feet between the truck and the wall.

Intel - Yeah thats me :)

Jason, joed1228 asked if it was your working on the truck :D

NY Detailer or Jason, Do you haul your own water to the customers house or use their faucet? What do you do for power? Plug into their house or bring a generator?

whoops sorry Intel and joe. Probably still a little dazed from my nap earlier today (damn i'm getting old.)

Use their faucet and plug into their house.

NY Deatailer,
I was under the impression that you owned a shop in Staten Island. If you are a mobile detailer my opinion regarding your prices changes completely. From "gee for that service that's quite high" to "that is outrageous". I thought you had all this overhead to worry about, you are getting away with murder @$150 for 2hrs work on a vehicle

:(

If someone is willing to pay it, then I would hardly call it 'murder'. Charging $900 for a crown on your back tooth is getting away with murder. $35 activation fee on a cell phone is murder too. If someone is willing to pay it then who's to say what's right or wrong? Its not like he has to provide financing for his work. :D

If you look at it in the right way, all detailing is robing people. I mean, we all find the time to keep our cars and some of us are pretty busy guys. Charging to do something that they are capable of doing themselves seems like robbery to me. Maybe not "murder" but definatly a misdemeanor or higher. lol ;)

Every Little Detail - The money I paid for detailing supplies to use on customers (family and friends) cars  is just enough to keep this hobby of detailing to break even.

Everyone needs to make money somewhere. Credit Card companies charging upwards of 30% APR. $29 late payment fee, $29 over limit fee, $50 annual fee. It all adds up. I gladly don't have an annual fee on my cards, nor is the APR that high. $3500 spent on a broken wrist to pay the doctors and hospitals (still paying back my mother for that.) McDonalds charging $4 for a sandwich that didn't even fill me (usually drop $15-$20 on food at Wendy's but I only go once every 4-6 weeks and thats for myself!) Well you get the idea, people need service and if they pay so be it.

Just my 2 cents,

Jason

$4.50 for a movie ticket?!

I don't go to the movies anymore because nighttime tickets are like $7-<strong class='bbc'>$9[/b]!

Now THAT is murder!
