I have an 8yo car and 10yo minivan to detail as they're on the way out the door and we want to get maximum trade-in value on them.



I asked my father how much the detailer was going to charge altogeather to get both vehicles done.



He said about $300.



I asked if the guy does as good a job as i do.



No, not really. Just wash wax and way too much armorall on everything.



So, i made a deal. Buy me a PC, pads and the products i need to get the cars looking good and i'll do 'em for you plus i'll have the stuff around for next time.

"Buy me the correct tools and have them forever" vs "let some shmuck do a half assed job for more money"



Between the PC, sonus pad set and assorted products, it stil costs less for a better job.

Great thinking on your part , in the end everybody is happy. well everybody except for the person who used to do the cars for you :chuckle: glad to see your idea is paying of for the both of you. let us know how it goes for you.
