Well Done Metro

I really want to get one of these - I'm a big fan of minimizing any contact with the paint, and being able to dry with touching the car would be fantastic (my electric blower isn't quite powerful enough to do the whole car). However, I shudder to think what it would cost to ship an item this large and bulky over here...

Men have justified more expensive stuff than that on similar thought processes. In fact, in the first house I owned I was going to get a new deck put on but ended up with a new house.

But an electrician can run a 20A circuit if you need one assuming there is an empty spot in the box or just reconfigure some circuits. If you box is in the garage it gets even easier.

I wonder what something like that runs? I know someone that does this for a living but I haven't seen them in a long while. I'd like to have the outlet on my porch changed over to a 20A

one more big plus in its favor. i blows the crap out from under seats that a vacume wont reach and allows it to be then vacumed up. i also use it for very quick interior clean outs. leave the doors open on the other side and blast away. this is my favorite tool ever in over 40 years of detailing. works better at wet leaf blowing here in rural oregon too.

The first guy I contacted quoted $195 for an external outlet installed connected to an existing circuit. I believe it included a GFCI etc. If I recall he quoted $100 more if it was a new circuit and had to run a new wire from the box.

If you can do it yourself, it is obviously much less expensive.

I was thinking $175 so I guess I'm not too far off. I've wired outlets but never run wiring to the box. I might try to tackel it myself this spring.

If your garage is not finished with drywall and your electrical panel is in the garage already, and you have extra slots in your electrical panel, it is very easy to run some 12Awg Romex down through the studs and put in a new 20amp outlet. If you have another 2 slots, you can put in a 220v outlet for a big compressor too !

It might even be cheaper than buying a new house ! :) :) :)

If you live close by I can come down and help you do this. I do it all the time in every garage I have ever owned.

I just fired up my new Metro Master Blaster. WOW! This thing sounds like a
727 ready to leave the runway and when I fire up stage two its like the afterburners kicking in. Now all the nooks and crannies of my Harley are
an easy chore to dry. Highly recommended.

My first time using one, I was thinking I was back on the flight line............great machine to use and have in ones garage.:bigups

wow. thanks for the offer! unfortunately not as simple as it could be. the box is in the basement and there is finished drywall. ive installed an outlet before for a television so i could probably tackle it. but thanks for your generous offer!

thanks bunky.

at this point, ive got a 4.5 lb electrical blower in transit from amazon. ill go ahead and give that a shot first. if that dont work ill face a bigger decision, installing the outlet or moving to a new house :)

Anyone that buys this tool seems to rave about it but I'm having trouble justifying it's expense over the electric leaf blower I bought.

I do have the Metro Blaster Sidekick and it's a quality machine and very effective but a far cry from the $350 or so for the full size Master Blaster...

Im with you Bobby, hard to for me to justify. I already have a shot vac that seems to work really well, and I can use it to ghetto wet clean interiors. And when I need to I use a leaf blower, but mainly on engine details only. Digging out a cord to dry every wash seem like a PITA.

Think of how much more product I could buy with 350!

I forgot all about that aspect of it. I probably don't either and I won't be moving for a few more years so there is my out on buying one and getting more wax!!!!!!!

i have the same thought process as u and justify many purchases this way. heres one: ill pass on this rolex watch. ok order up 2 jars of fuzion. see how fast i saved 9800$?

I have just purchased a Metro Vac N Blo and I am very happy with it.

I have 2 80 gallon compressors in my shop that are more than efficent at blowing off a vehicle with the proper air nozzle. But this being another toy....ummmm I mean tool, I will have to wait to see how the finances are on the next big Metro sale! ;)

More is better and bigger is better........Noah didn't build a raft did he!
