Just bought a few Meg's products and will buy a few more in the near future. Can't wait to try them out. I've only been here for a couple of weeks, but what I've read so far Mike, you've shared alot of excellent advice about Meg's products and how to use them to there full potential. I thank you.

Awesome to hear Mike. I am glad you are heading it too :). From everything I have read, you seem to know your (Meguiar's) products like the back of your hand and I love that. Makes references and decisions much easier.

Will you have any special things to offer this forum/website now that you haven't already in the past?

This came up when I clicked on VENDOR off the NXT TECH

button

Mike.....

First off - thanks to you and your company for your support. Before they came, you've been a great resource, and now, with their backing - this place can only get better.

A question I have....

Will meguiars be taking suggestions here? If so, I think a good move for meguiars would be to offer a "concours" line of products - offering some filler-free polishes (like menzerna), some PURE WHITE/IVORY-carnauba wax products (like pinnacle, zymol) [by pure you know what I mean - no cleaning properties - just the wax and whatever is needed minimally soften it into hard paste form]

In terms of concours-level synthetics, I think NXT should have that covered.

I'm just thinking a less consumer-focused line, one that wouldn't be available at auto parts stores (maybe just by the internet or at high-end shops), with a more "exquisite" logo, and one that seems less "industrial" than the body-shop professional line.

I think that meguiars certainly has the funding and the know-how to make the absolute best pure carnauba wax available, so why not do it? You could easily go head to head with pinnacle, zymol, and p21s/s100.

I realize it probably isn't the most lucrative market, but it would for certain bolster the brand image.

Sometimes it seems like Meguiars is the GM of surface care. They have the money and the technology, but they use it to create products that walk the fine line between quality/profit. Just like GM does with its cars (albeit they are beginning to change, but for the longest time they were marginal and met "everyone's needs" by being decent at most things, but not stellar at any one particular thing. It made them money at the time, but ended up costing them dearly in brand recognition and market share, resulting ina loss of market share down the line (i.e. now). How many people think the corvette is a good quality car (it IS) - not many, because of the issues of the past.

I'd like to see a pure quality, cost-is-no-object line of products. Coming from meguiars - they'd be sure to be good.

thats my $.02

Meguiars - thanks again for your support of our community.

Hi all,

I have been away from my desk all day, and will be for the most of the rest of the day. I was gone on a video shoot for NXT Tech Wax.

I would like to jump in here and say thank you for all of the warm welcomes, and I will be back to answer your questions, (SuperBuick), but for now, I have to finish some projects as well as get ready for a clinic tomorrow.

Here's a behind the scenes photo...
