Weird spots in paint :(

Butters

Hello everyone,

First off, I would like to say that have only posted on here a few times, however I am always on here reading. Certainly seems like a lot of great people on here as well as tons of detailing knowledge.

Here is why I am posting however. It was a beautiful day today here in Jax, so I decided to go out and give my moms Audi a good bath. I detailed the car about 6 months ago and the car is garage kept. It was filthy however because I have been far to busy with school lately to do anything with the cars. So sadly, it hasn't been washed since January. Well as I am drying I notice these little white dots on various body panels. At first I was thinking it was sap until I took a closer inspection. It appears these little dots are in the clear. Almost as if some sort of acid has come in contact with the paint. The spots that have it are the top of the trunk lid, and the roof on either side above the windows, as well as various other spots. I tried a little megs 105 on one of the panels with zero luck. So I am aware that these will probably not come out, however I was wandering if anyone may know what could have caused this? I know it could be anything but I am just be optimistic. Thanks in advance everyone.

I had a hard time getting decent shots of it but here they are.

that definitely looks to be under the clear . . . . . almost appears to either be some sort of acid that might have hit the car or it might even be a potential problem with the clear coat itself.

The car looks otherwise to be in excellent condition. I'm sure someone else will jump in with more info. but those are just my thoughts.

Thank you for the input. Unfortunately I think your are right with it being under the clear. I'm hoping that it doesn't cause the clear to start to flake off.

Thanks again :thx
