Thanks, yea they look pretty cool! I have 2 sets (one is a little wide and has the track slicks). I have others on my stock 914.

Yeah, the 916 flares always go well with the wider wheels.

Did you convert the yellow 914 to a 914-6?

Nope it has (or had until about a week ago when it was taken out) the original 4 cylinder. However I asked the builder of the car how many horse powers the car had... the answer was around 215.... for a car that doesnt even weigh 2k lbs.:drool:

:har: I hated the smell of the brand new 3M compound. I actually hated everything about the new compound.

The 3M UK Fast cut (dust)Plus compound smells pretty nasty too.

Im thinking about getting the 3m UK stuff. I take it you have it? How do you like it?

Want to buy one? hahaha. My green one is for sale and the yellow one will be shortly (unless after I get it back I decide to keep it :) ).

School is going... not so well. I was suspended on thursday due to the teacher telling me and a friend to use someones lab report to write ours... so we did... then they say that we are plagiarizing. She claims she didnt say that however my friend heard her say to... not much I could do there however my grades arent too good either. Its the first time in my life I have ever had a D (or is that plural?).

It cuts good, but it smells like kerosene. It also dusts crazy.

Rick and I were both in the garage one day working on 2 different cars and we were both using FCP and a few hours later we could barely see each other from all the dust. We had to open the doors and wash the whole garage out. IT WAS BAD.

I think he has a picture in his red M5 write up with it covered in dust.

The chemicals were so bad that we were seeing fishies swimming in our wet paint.:getdown:drool:

O and btw... my wipedown didnt reveal too much... Maybe a slight swirl or two... but not what i thought it would.

Is it single stage or base/clearcoat?

I always use straight 70 or 91% alcohol for inspection. If it is soft ss, I will mix a little distilled water in it.

back in december i did a 2003 white mitsubishi eclipse with two passes of m85 and finishes down for lsp, even after a ipa wipe down it did not reveal anything. i've been keeping up maintence and still looks flawless.

I've had Meguiars #105 and a yellow Meguiars polishing pad finish out hologram free on CeramiClear paint. Still followed it up with Ultrafina.

Its pretty cool! I dont really know much about all the features but its pretty awesome!

if only I can find the battery charger....

You'll get used to it and then it will become too simple. I love my D40 and after knowing all the possibilities with it, I love it even more. For the price, it's one of the best out there for entry level.

do you think even if with 105 finish holo free is it necessary to follow with UF even after a ipa wipe down that does not reveal anything?
