Alright, its been raining and 40 degrees all week and this weekend promises to be great. I've bought some new stuff and I want to detail both our cars. My car is a 1 1/2 month old Black Hyundai XG350, Wifes car is a 2001 Silver Hyundai Elantra.



Heres my plan.



Black XG350



Wash

Clay? (Finish Feels Good)

Pinnacle Paintwork Cleanser

SMR (Swirls From Dealer Prep)

Vanilla Moose Hand Glaze

What do you all think of this plan? On my car I want a liquid looking finish, on my wifes car I want it to look nice and be somewhat durable. I have all the products I list above.

The basics look fine. A few comments if I may:



1. Use the SMR before the PPCL. And test the PPCL first, I'll bet you won't see much benefit to using it after SMR but test to be sure.



2. Souveran then S100? Really? Seems like a Carnauba Overdose to me. Why bother?



3. You won't get much durability out of the carnaubas - maybe 90 days. If you slap on some S100 on the Elantra every wash you'll be OK on protection.
