Weekend Details, holograms, minivans, and a 2000 type R *PICS* 56K NO WAY!!!

Two notes:

There's you, there's a poster whose screen name is CharlesW, and then there's me. I'm a Charles W, too! Are there any more Charles Ws? Maybe we could meet for a coupla beers :drunk

Love your tagline. When I wash and dry my car, I'll keep the "eye candy" in mind. Hope I don't get carried away!

Charles

Glad I could help you out buddy :bigups

P.S.
I know ebp already thanked you guys....but thanks again for the compliments

Oh yeah if any of you guys get a chance to take a ride in the CL, I suggest you jump on it. The feeling of acceleration in that car is truly unbelievable...it will make you grit your teeth...and it feels as if someone just slammed you across your chest with a table ...woo hoo :dancin Traction control means 0 tire spin, just a nasty :naughty launch with constant acceleration through the gears...and again woot woot :dancin :drool :drool
Detailing those cars was worth the ride in the Mercedes

I certainly agree with the choice of the PC on the truck but I was wondering about the swirls on the R. They looked pretty nasty. Thanks.

Sorry, I misread your post. The type R paint correction took about 1 hour 45 minutes including 15 minutes for the NXT to set up. I first tried using a rotary with Meg's CPC and a polishing pad, but it did not yield good results. The car had various areas of repaints so I ultimately decided to use the PC even though I knew that it really needed a rotary. n Hope this answers your question.

The way that truck looked before you fixed it is a disgrace. Whoever did that must have mistaken the grinder for a rotary.

Incredibly nice work as usual.

What did you use on the engine bay on the Integra?

Thanks man. I used a degreaser that I buy locally(Costco's works great too!!) and then scrubbed with an EZ detail brush and other mitts/brushes, then dressed with Meguiars #40 cut 50/50 with water.

The V12 is a 2003-2004 W215 CL600.. Its not a CL55 or Cl65 the cl55 uses a 5.4L supercharged AMG V8 and the 65 use's a 6.0 Twin Turbo V12 similar to the CL600's but tuned to AMG specs and it has a totally different carbon fiber valve cover as does the 55. Many people keep confusing the 65's with 600's and 55's and 500's besides the fact that they look somewhat similar but not entirly there totally different beasts under the hood and suspension wise. In my book there worth the 40k markup on the 600's. 65>600,55,500

The cl600/sl600/s600's have very serious potential for upgrades a simple RENNtech ECU flash can give over 600hp and 700ft/tq without voiding the warranty. Its nice to see a 6500lb's 4 door seadan stay dead even with a stock porsche 996TT on the highway.

Great job on the details.

Those pics of the Harley truck takes the cake for the worst buffer marks I have ever seen! :bigscream

Excellent work all around!
