Weekend detail: Utah winter fix

Here is a detail I did to bring the car back to life after a hard utah...read salted roads winter. The car has 90,000 miles with several weekly trips to the ranch and gravel roads.

I used my PC and:

ONR

Blue Magic clay with ONR lube

OHC and orange 5" pad

OP and white 6" pad

Opti-seal x2 topped with S100

tires: final touch spray with a wipe down.

7hrs total time for exterior and interior wipe down and Vac.

Nothing special here just a daily driver that now can go to the Opera with some class. I know I need to do a better job photographing my work, its coming............I just get so excited about turning a car around I forget to set up shots of similar befores and afters.

The Opti seal is getting rave review, unsolicited from the owners, they say it is way easy to rise off the car and the dirt does not stick? I checked on this car yesterday and the owner said the beading is tall and looking good very easy to clean the car for her.

Looks great, no after shots of the engine?

Yea, I forgot.........she showed up and she was overwhelmed at the work and the engine overhaul I got side tracked.

I will post some other details where I did the engine..........I'm telling you I have more people comment on the engine work than the paint correction. I think I had better leave the hood closed when they show up, then pop it open after the walk around.

"Side Tracked", eh?

Sounds like a great way to finish a detail... :)

I've noticed the same thing. I show them the engine after they have walked around the vehicle and checked out the interior. While the driver door is open I have them pop the hood to inspect that as well. Engines are a blast to detail and the difference is usually quite dramatic even on relatively clean engines. When you get dirty ones like that they can be even more fun. :)
