Weekend Detail - My Mach1 w/RMG, RMJ, TS

That black center stripe on the hood, what material is that and how do you care for it? It doesn't look like normal paint since there is no shine in it.

well, i don't know the material, but i know it's a sticker. to care for it, i just put wax over it, and try not to get my polish, glaze, or sealants on it, although sometimes that happens because i'm trying to get the paint between the thin and thick stripes.

It's so funny how hard of a time you have in direct sunlight with your car. It almost looks like blue primer in the sun and a dripping wet medium blue in the sunset! It's really crazy! But in a good way!!



The one thing I love about TS is the dust factor, as in it doesn't seem to collect much throughout the day. As you know I use it on my Mom's 05 and it's the only topper that doesn't look dirty after a couple of days!
 
dogma - thanks. i guess after seeing all those ford ads with the blue Mach1, i just had to get that color. :D and cool first car. :cool:



Kyle - thanks. yeah the Azure Blue can be crazy. i hate how the sunlight can make it look so bland and washed out. but i guess if i get some nice reflections and a little wetness in the sunlight, it must be a good combo in darker conditions.



and the dust factor isn't something i knew about the TS. but that's good to know. i just love it, it seems to give a nice wet look while having sharp reflections. just last night i redid the hood (yes i am crazy!) with VM+RMG+TS/FMJ/Natty's to compare them. hopefully i can take some pictures over the weekend. in my garage, they pretty much looked the same, so it be interesting to see what they look like in the sun.
