any of you guys who have websites for your detailing business, who did yours? how much did it cost? im looking to make a website for myself

I made my own. I am working on it slowly. I need to improve the entire site, but it takes time.

Like your name too...:D

I'm in the process of making my own. I just found Wix.com. It's a flash editor, very easy to use. I've only toyed with it for about a half hour, but it's pretty nifty.

I built my own. Because I didn't know the first thing about building websites I spent about 80+ hours building it(learning along the way) from scratch.

If possible hire someone to do it. Also, while flash sites are cool sometimes they do not show on mobile phones. It really depends on how you want your site to look. Rather than spending countless hours on building a site I can use that time to further develop my business.

You can do things that require very little time and more $$ or you spend very little $$ and a lot more time.

I'd highly suggest making one yourself if you have even mediocre html skills. I find simpler sites to be much better for selling services like detailing anyway. For galleries there is plenty of software you can use to make it 'glitzy'; but for main pages/services/etc I'm a firm believer that a simple, mobile/low res computer friendly site is the way to go.

I recently purchased my domain but I am having problems figuring out how to upload the page I made to the domain. How does this stuff work?

Find someone local on craigslist, $21 a month and they they take care of all my updates whenever I need them. I find that very affordable, once a year I can get the whole thing redesigned but I like the way it is right now, I'm just waiting on him to update my rates page.
