We Broke the 8000 member mark

It can sometimes be a little overwhelming to post when your knowledge base is just starting to grow. I say this because it took me a little while to get comfortable with answering questions. Lets keep growing and spreading the disease (sorry, was listening to Queensryche).
 
I guess you would see more posts by the members if the search feature did not exist ,my point is a lot of people probably use the "search" to get the answers they are looking for rather than asking the question over and over.
I personally find the search feature to be most useful and use it a lot.
Any how in the short time that I have been here I learnt so much from you guys ,and without a doubt we will get to 10.000 members in no time.

Jim - that's a valid point and I know I lurked a while before posting too. I'd like to see more of the less experienced members post up questions. Many times there are many other non participant members who might have the same question and would benefit from the answer. The reason I'm a regular here is because the environment is non confrontational so those silent members shouldn't be shy about asking questions. I know I've asked a bunch (after the appropriate search of course!).

actually the search feature is the least used tool ..so many questions and answers have been archived over the years I've been around, but the same questions keep coming back:notme: i don't mind answering the same questions , otherwise i'd have nothing to do:lol2:
 
I would really like to see a " Swap n Shop"/trade forum
A place to buy, sell or trade any equipment, a forum where You can post ads or requests.

This is the case with any forum. Atleast we manage to screen most of the spammers out before they become members. The member list would be over double what it is if we didn't.

We had that in the past and ran into some pretty nasty altercations between sellers and buyers so the DC staff decided it would be best not to have a section like that anymore.

I see,,I sure hope they consider bringing it back,I do understand things could get out of hand and nasty though.

There are probably about 10-15 a day that are looking to push cheap meds, phones, mortgages, porn... :wall

But thanks to the 4-5 that really want to be members to make sorting through the rest of the trash worth while. :thanks
