WCM3 1st Detail: 95 Avus M3

Hey guys,

So a couple weeks ago I had a local professional detail check out both my M3 and 335i. He quoted me $250-300 for each of them. I thought about it for a day or two and realized that I would like to try to do it myself. So I searched over a few forums (Bimmerforums, Autopia, Detailing Bliss, e90post) and talked to Chris from Glimmer Glass Detailing and put together a package. I used a decent bit of them in my first detail. Please comment and let me know how it went. I think it went pretty good, but I'm just a beginner..remember. :)

Thanks for looking,

Sweet ride...those tires are pure sex.

I REALLY wanted them but every review I read said they were too loud...so I went with some Kumho Ecsta MX's instead. Still cool, but not that cool...

Yeap, looks really good. Very clean, i'm glad you didn't rice it out.

Thanks guys. haha..I'm not a ricer kind of guy. I like to keep things stock "looking". It is a turbo, and last dynoed made 492rwhp on a blown headgasket.

Thanks dude. Yeah I heard someone else say they were loud too. I guess I just don't hear it, I'm pretty deaf from being in my JL Audio 12W3 phase. haha..

Looks awesome, congrats on the result. How long did the whole process take?

The process probably took a total of 20 hours. I spread it out across 3 days and it wasn't bad at all. First time doing really any of this so I took my time..

Thanks for the comments guys!

Thanks again for all the comments guys. You make me feel better when I'm thinking about detailing my 07 335i.

Great job mate! Is that a factory color for those year M3's?

Thanks man. Yep, it only came on 95 M3, unless it was a special order individual M color. It also came on late 90s 3 series. It's BMW Avus Blue Metallic.

Those waterspots were gnarly! Great job on the correction...careful, looks like you've been bitten by the detailing bug!
