Autopia fire/rescue.
I detailed this 2000 Plymouth Prowler on Monday, July 25th. The car had 19,348 miles on it when I picked it up. The day had a cloudy start, became sunny in the low 80's during the day, only to cloud up again and rain later...
The car had not been driven in over a year and was in the owner's garage. The paintwork was a little dusty (it has been said that dust is a protective coating :tongue2
no swirls that I could see, no RIDS and the interior was clean. Detailing the wheels was the worst part of this detail as they had some "stuff" on them.
Before I started...
The car was foamed with DP extreme foam shampoo via pressure washer with a foam gun...
The car was then washed via two bucket method and Meguiar's Gold Class. Tires, wheels and fender/wheelwells were cleaned with Meguiar's APC... then the car was clayed with Meguiar's blue detailing clay using a fresh solution of Gold Class, then foamed once more and rinsed.
The car was dried with microfiber drying towels and I used my leaf blower to blow the water out of the cracks and crevices. I then went about taping off the trim and used plastic bags and newspaper to mask off the bumpers and the cloth convertible top.
Since the paint was clean and swirlfree, I went to Meg's 205 via PC with a Lake Country polishing pad. My Griot's 3" RO polisher helped with the tight spots!
After polishing, I applied 2 layers of Meguair's #21 synthetic sealant by hand and removed it with Meg's microfiber towels.
I then started polishing the chrome wheels. I used the Griot's polisher and a Griots 3" cutting pad with Mother's Chrome Polish. The inner barrels were done with a Mother's powerball mini and Mother's chrome polish via Makita electric drill...

The tires were treated with Stoners More Shine, the bumpers were treated with Stoners Trim Shine.
The glass was cleaned with Stoner's Invisible Glass, the exterior glass was treated with RainX.
These are exteriror shots just before the sky opened up with heavy rain, thunder and lightning...
Interior shots... I just went over the interior surfaces with Meguiar's Interior QD...
As I finshed the interior pics, it started to "spit a little"... so I pilled the car back into my garage and took these pics...
Because it was pouring, and my customer was working an overtime tour at the firehouse and wifey's Edge was already out in the rain, I kept the car inside for the night. I took this pic just before turning in for the night... the reflection of my Mustang garage clock off of the hood and fenders of the car...
