Hey everyone,

Tommorrow I hope to wax a Corrvette. Here is the plan:

1.Wash with Pinnacle Bodywork shampoo

2.Dry with Calif. water blade & MF towel

3.Apply Swirl Free Polish (#82) with PC 7336 at 3.5 OPM and a white CMA pad (yes I finally bought a PC!)

4.Buff off with another white CMA pad at 5 OPM

5.Wipe remainning residue off with an MF towel

6.Apply one coat by hand of Pinnacle Signature Series Wax

7.Wipe off with MF towel

8.Wait 24hrs. apply second coat by hand

9.Wipe of with MF towel

Paint info:

Bright Red Metallic

Waxed a month ago (smooth to the touch)

Some minor swirls on hood

Water spots around the hatchback that I cannot remove by hand

Is there anything I have forgotten?

Thanks in advance for any and all advice,

Gabe

The procedure sounds good. I would just be cautious using the CWB on paint, some like it but I've had bad experiences with it marring. Perhaps the water spots could be improved with a chemical cleaner such as MPPC. Having a yellow cutting pad handy in case the white doesn't do the trick might be helpful as well.

Good luck!

Looks good, but a few suggestions:

Don't be afraid to turn the PC all the way up to 6. 3.5 isn't going to do much for correcting blemishes. There's also not much need to remove any product with a pad...just use your towels. Pads don't really absorb much and you'll find it takes more time to remove using a PC.
