Waxing after a QEW

Hi guys

With our water restrictions (only allowed to use water for windscreen and headlights) ive really taken to using the QEW. So much easier and quicker than having to bucket wash late at night at my local high pressure machine wash

Ive done about 7 full washes so far and have only now started to notice some very very minor swirls on my soft solid black paint. So im going to continue to use it and just give the car a quick going over with Menzerna FF when it needs it, expecting in about another 5-7 washes

My question is, can i apply my Swissol Concorso wax straight on top of the paint after washing with QEW? Does the QEW leave any residue on the paint that may interfere with the wax? Or should i use the Swissol paint cleanser before hand

Im noticing while im drying a panel, the QEW dries in parts without leaving any water spots, not like body shampoo. So is there some residue left on the paint?

I do believe that QEW leaves a tiny amount of some sort of "protection" on the paint, not sure if it is a wax or synthetic. However, applying a wax after that should not be a problem as I believe waxes don't chemically bond to the paint, they just lay on top of it.
