Waxes, Washes, Polishes... WHAT?

If a newbie will download the book, study it and read the forums, they will have a good idea of what's entailed in basic detailing, and get an idea of what products work and which ones are not so great.

I was a newbie just 6 months ago. I was reading the e-book before I even knew there was an Autopia forum! I read the e-book, and the forums a lot, and continue to do so. I don't ask a question unless I really can't figure it out. And then I look first to see if someone has already asked it (many times it has already been asked).

Not to sound like an idiot... but where do I find the first 8 chapters?

I saw where I can buy it... and I can guarantee I will probably end up buying the whole thing... but my wife kind of makes me show her things first... I told her I could get the first 8 chapters so she wants to see them first :P

Polaris, yes we are here to help, but there is a subtle difference between helping and pampering, IMO.

In all honesty, I also encourage some independant learning because it is not really that hard and it is better for you. The basic principles are laid out in the eBook and then you can expand from there. Along the way, you will learn far more than if someone just plainly laid out a set of clear-cut instructions for you.

Besides, asking for someone to condense all their methods and techniques down to one (big) post is a bit of a tall order.

Good luck, and happy reading.

plus :

all cars are diffrent,

you won't find two cars with identical characteristics , even if they are same brand, color or model,'cause there's allso enviromental, milage a day , etc, etc, etc

There simply does not exist an answer to the Q: I have a ...car with...color.What should I use?

Impossible to answer that.

But don't worry, we're here to help,

and help we will:xyxthumbs

Happy detailing
