Waxes - The next "hot" wax ? Wet Diamond Ivory Carnauba Paste Wax

With 11 post you need to pratice a little more class. I agree with you I like Souveran a bit better. I have nothing to do with what others post. I just asked a simple question and a detailing experience. IMBUBBAHO........YAHOOO..........

The advertisement of this wax has been changed on both sites. (CMA, Blackfire) No more Pinnacle Soveran and no more Klasse AIO pics. Infact, most of the wording changed also. Had nothing to do with you bubba

Flish, thanks for the outside pics. Still doesnt look stunning enough to replace Soveran IMO, lower price, more product, seems like Pinnacle is still the Top Carnuaba.

It'll be interesting to see how we souveran reacts with the sealant sandwich. I'll be posting the results in a few days so you might find that the souveran works great with the BF sealant also.

If you visit CMA much you will see that a lot of times Terry introduces a product and then gets around to refining his ads.

As far as Souvran goes..probably some legalities to do with the sale of his portion of PBMA. Remember Terry created Souvran.

Thanks Flish for clearing that up. I like reading this site cause I learn about products and techniques - tons of info and different opinions, I take most with a grain of salt. I confess that when I started detailing, I was trying to make show cars out of beaters. My customers just care about a nice clean shiny car - most run through the car wash every couple months so after I did my thing, they were impressed and felt justified in spending more than 20 bucks at the autospa. Am I, as we say in the South - that "curious" bout my personal car? No, I keep in clean, protected with DG 105 and washed when needed. I could spend hours applying LSP's and I did in the beginning then I realized no one, not me, not the family could tell the difference or gave a rat's ***! Also, as the late James Brown would say,"it's your thang, do whacha wanna do"

Here's what the blackfire sealant and the new blackfire wax look like after a couple of weeks of use. I've used Griot's speed shine to maintain the car since it was last waxed and it looks great. Overall I'm very pleased with the new sealant/wax combo. It's a good as any product I've used to date.

Next project will be to see how it reacts with Zymol's Ital that just arrived.....

I need your advice. I have a new car and want to get started right. The car is a very dark grey/blue metallic. What are your thoughts and recommendations on the following?

1) P21S cleaner and wax,

2) Pinnacle cleaner and PS, or

3) Klasse AIO and PS?

4) Wet Ice over Fire (blackfire)

I have used P21S and PS before, but not over KAIO. I started to question PS when I found out Classic Motoring no longer carried PS (in another post, I learned that Terry used to own a part of Pinnacle and no longer does and does not carry Pinnacle any longer). That made me question myself on which one would be best for my car. Now they are highly recommending "wet ice over fire". Sounds like marketing to me for PS formerly and WIOF now, but I am not sure. Also, I know P21S is sold across the nation, yet Pinnacle is only sold retail in South Florida. Again, that made me question my decision. When Terry owned part of Pinnacle, he was recommending it, now that he does not, their company not only does not carry it, they won't even talk about it.

Thank you for your feedback and thoughts!

You can't go wrong with either the P21S Paintwork Cleanser or the Pinnacle Paintwork Cleanser. Both are great Cleansers and are user friendly. I use both on occaision. After that, go with a layer of KAIO as your base. Some might say that using both a paintwork cleanser and KAIO is overkill, since the Klasse will strip the oils left by the paintwork cleanser. It's up to you, really. If you're using a carnauba paste wax, you might consider just using one or the other. For instance...... The P21S cleanser will both clean & condition the paint. Topping that with your carnauba of choice will yield a slightly wetter look for your paint color. The only drawback "might" be a slightly reduced durability/longevity of the carnauba as the oils from the cleanser evaporate. ( I'm talking maybe a weeks less optimum optics & durability. No biggie if you wax monthly. ) Going with the KAIO as a base "might" produce a slightly brighter finish (when using P21S carnauba) and leaves a small bit of acrylic sealant on the paint. It's all up to you as to what you decide.
