I am on my winter programme of Klasse AIO, 3 layers of Klasse Sealant Glaze and a coat of Collinite 845.

Seems to have come up well to me...

That looks superb.

I BELIEVE the best thing for winter is a good polymer sealant topped with a durable wax.

I'm using the Klasse twins right now AIO/KSG x3, topped with Collinite 476S. I will be washing with Optimum No Rinse (sometimes at the coin-op) and as temperatures may allow, will use Duragloss Aquawax for a bit extra protection and pop.

(gonna try real hard on this one to maintain showroom shine).

:werd:

3 x AJT and I just refreshed my 476 with another coat last weekend. Let's hope it lasts 'til spring. i've got one car stored outside 24/7 and one that sits in a garage half the time. It'll be interesting to see if I notice a difference in durability.

I love your car. Are you going to drive it in the winter?

thanks guys! can anyone clear up the ex vs. ex-p for me?

also, what about Collinite 845 vs 476S?
EX and EX-P are sealants, but EX has carnauba added. Use EX for darker colors and EX-P for lighter colors (as a general rule of thumb).

845 is a liquid and 476 is a paste. Both are good, but 476 will offer a little longer protection.

thanks guys, if i used 845, Ex, and nattys blue, what order would i apply them ? ive confused myself now which are waxes and sealants.

If you're going to pour on Nattys and 845 you might as well get EX-P, the carnauba in EX won't really benefit you since you're putting on additional coats of waxes on top of it, IMO.

I would do EX-P, then 845, and finally Nattys Blue. I haven't used 845 but I did use 476 and it doesn't really add any wetness or depth so a topper like Nattys Blue would help you get that nice wet look.

Greetings, I am looking to get a some good protection on my pickup truck for the winter. Can the Klasse AIO and Collinite 845 be applied by hand or do you need the Porter Cable? I have a sears orbital polisher in the basement somewhere that uses towel bonnets is this ok to use? When you mention Klasse AIO are you refering to both products to use Polish and Sealant? On average applying Klasse Polish and Sealant and the the 845 how many hours does it take. Who has the best prices on Klasse and Collinite? Could these only be purchased online or could you get them at Automotive stores? My vehicle is a 07 tundra with some very light swirls. Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

Klasse AIO and Collinite can both be applied by hand without any problem. Klasse AIO (the cleaner/polish) is different than Klasse SG (sealant), and if you plan on using Collinite, then just use the AIO to clean the surface, while using the Collinite to top off. Klasse AIO+Collinite should take around 1-2 hours if applied to a average mid size sedan. Klasse can only be purchased online. For Collinite, some NAPA's and Carquest stores have it, but the best bet is probably online. A good site is Detailing supplies for the marine and automotive industries from MacTec

Is the AIO a mild or stronger cleaner/polish? The reason im asking since my truck is fairly new it doesnt have many swirls on it. I might look into maybe getting the PC at Lowes. Lastly, is it too cold to put on these cleaner/sealant/waxes on currently in NJ temps are in the low 50's.

I wouldn't consider AIO a strong cleaner at all since it doesn't have abrasives in it. I never used it or thought of it for taking out swirls. I think of it as Poorboys Pure Polish on Crack, with the added benefit of leaving a small layer of acrylic protection. Gets the surface nice and ready for your LSP of choice.

If you do get the PC from Lowes, I personally will be going with some Optimum Polish when I get my PC, I hear nothing but great things about the new formula.

And low 50's are more than okay, I use almost everything even in 40's, but 30's some products could pose issues.

Thanks for the reply guys. I picked up a PC 7336 for $95 + tax at Lowes. What color pads and backing plates do I need? Who has the best prices and where should I buy them from? Who has the best prices on Klasse and Collinite?
