Are there any good waxes out there that have decent durability. Right now im using P21s but im looking for maybe a liquid wax that is easy to apply and will last a bit. Im really looking for something that doesnt need applied every weekend.

Any suggestions?

Ern- Note that 845 does *not* stain black plastic trim either, works well on it but doesn't last as long as on paint.

I like using it over 1Z's polishes, even more so than using it over AIO. But it'll work over most any kind of polish/cleaner/etc.

Shake it up until it turns very thin, and shove the "plug of wax" that you'll find in the neck of the bottle down into the rest of the wax, then shake it some more. Use less than you think you need to ;) Let it dry before you buff it off.

I really like liquid souveran. Looks great and durability is good. Cannot give specifics on durability as I use it on a car that is garaged and driven once or twice a week in good wx.

Yeah, like Accumulator says, shake the 845 *a lot* more than you think you should. Collinite 845 should be a very thin product when you are done shaking, and if it isn't, than you haven't shaked nearly enough.

Meguiars #16

ClearKote Carnauba Moose Wax

Collinit 845 Insulator Wax

I had my Collinite 845 on this winter for protection while I was away at school. Winter lasted about four months, and I didn't wash/wax once during that period since my car pretty much sat at school. At four months the 845 was STILL protecting. At five months it was just about wearing off.

I wanna try out Meguiars #16 too. Can you use KAIO after you use a compound and polish as a cleaner?

Like if i used pinnacle compound, then pinnacle final polish can I use KAIO as a cleaner and it not have any wierd looking effects. Or after a compound and polish can you just skip a cleaner?

Good luck finding #16, it's been off the market for some time. Every now and then somebody sells some though.

I don't bother using cleaners after I polish, at least not most of the time. But yeah, you can use AIO after polishing, but it might remove some fillers/oils that were hiding residual marring. This makes it look like "the swirls came back".

I *do* use KAIO after polishing if I'm gonna use KSG, but that's about the only reason I'd ever do it.
