Wax Residue

Hello fellow Detailers! I hope everyone has been enjoying practicing their tecniques. I had a rather simple question about removing wax residue that I've found in some tight spots like between a bumper and rear quarter panel. Are there any specific cleaners or tools for this? So far I've had pretty good luck using a bug & tar remover, q-tips, a credit card and some thin paper. But, it's been a pain in the butt.

The vehicle I'm working with was treated with your normal paste wax and was not taped up to keep the residue out of those tight locations. I normally use OCW and never have to worry about this issue. Does anybody have a tip or trick to make this any easier?

I used to use a credit card too, but I started noticing the paint was looking a little dull in those areas, so I got one of these.

Now I just spray with a quick detailing spray, right into the crevice, and then wipe with the brush -works really well, and no scratching.

I've been using OCW a lot lately too - kind of hard to go back to a paste after using it. :)
 
Looks simple enough... Do you use the nylon bristles for this? Or the softer ones on the other end?

Depends on what I'm removing. If it's undried wax/sealant/whatever, I use the soft bristles. If it's dry I use the nylon ones - they don't seem to hurt the paint, especially since the wax comes off pretty easily with the quick detail sprayed on it. Cheers.
