Wax residue removal

I had a bodyshop paint and install a front bumper. When it was done I can see little streaks of stuff here and there. I'm guessing it's wax or some paint polish they used to clean up the paint.

I didn't get it off right away (silly me I know). Now it's been like 2 weeks and I washed it today. Couldn't get it off by washing. Can someone shed some advice as to how I can get this junk off? Thanks.

Here are some pics:

Btw, I'm going to use my PC + SMR + GEPC to remove swirls introduced by a bodyshop. Should I just use that or should I still do the clay beforehand?

You could put a small blob (technical term) of polish on a cloth and kind of 'massage' the dried gunk off before going to an SMR. That way you don't grind the residue into the paint.

With the lack of attention the shop has already shown, I would clay first, it can't hurt.

Yeah, clay first. That way you won't "grind in" any contaminants when you polish, the clay will have pulled them off/out of the paint.

Btw, after I do the PC + SMR followed by GEPC, should I wash the car and then put on Zaino?

Or will doing a Z6 on the whole car be good enough?
