Wax residue removal the next day

I polished and waxed my VW GTI yesterday using Optimum polish, and Optimum Poli Seal. After getting to work this morning, I noticed some faint wax residue that I did not fully remove on a couple of spots. Is it safe to remove this with a microfiber and QD? The car will be outside all day and after some driving it will not be particularly dirty or dusty but I`m not sure if a QD spray will prevent marring.

I would recommend a waterless or rinseless wash over a quick detaiker prior to removing the wax residue.

if you don`t have either of those. I would rewash and dry the entire car and then remove the wax. This way you can recheck every panel for residue. And who doesn`t like to see water beading/sheeting off a car:)

IMO it is not worth the risk of marring your polished paint.

You might try a rinseless in that spot, followed by some light buffing with the QD+MF. Mainly, I would just be worried about instilling some marring. If that doesn`t take care of it, I have had luck going over the spot with the same wax to soften up any "dried on stuff", then buffing off.

Yeah, given the exposure to the outdoors I`d want to Rinseless it too (at least, knowing me I`d do a regular, full wash :o ). Might have to rub a bit to get the residue off, and I wouldn`t want any abrasive dust factoring in.

There is also a QD dilution that is stronger than the wash solution. I`ll try a spot and see what happens
