Wax in the nozzle?!?

I did a dumb thing. I never cover my windshield wiper nozzels on my hood when I polish and wax. I know, I know, I'm an idiot.

How do I get them unclogged? They do spray but in streams instead of the spray that it used to have. Can I go at it with some sort of solvent?

I used 3m SMR and the Blackfire Combo on it. Someone please give me a hand here.

Thanks!

We've all done this at one time or another.

Usually I just tackled them with a needle and some QD to flush out the particles that I get loose...

I guess you could get a solvent if you really wanted. But then you might strip what you put down in the first place.... :nixweiss

If the nozzles are easily removed, you could take them off and soak them in a solution of warm water and Dawn. If a needle is too big to fit in the hole, you could use a couple fine strands of copper wire twisted together to clean the hole out.

quite simple, open hood, remove hoodliner, use a pair of long nose pliers to loosen the washers and it just comes off on the outer part of the hood..

I usually just soak it in hot water then brush it off using a toothbrush.

next time, make sure you tape them up when detailing. I know taping off trim and other parts seems to be a pain, but it also saves us in the long run from picking up dirt on a pad when polishing or waxing.
