Wax for Armour

My son purchased (not my recommendation) some armour at the Renaissance Faire south of Dallas.

The seller told him to clean it with alcohol and put car wax on it. He was eager to wax it so I gave him some Meg's Cleaner Wax thinking that might be a good fit.

In my last order I bought a bottle of Chemical Guys Metal Wax Ultra Fine Metal Polish & Protection. Hopefully that will work well on the armor. I'm going to build a stand for him so he can display it when not wearing it.

I would think the metal polish would do much better. I recently polished the stainless on my friends semi with Garry Dean's Robo Shine and I was quite impressed with it.

It depends on the level of sheen you want. A pure metal polish is going to increase the shine considerably, although it looks like Meg's Cleaner/Wax did a great job.

For a metal wax, I would go with BLACKFIRE's Wet Diamond Acrylic Metal Sealant.
