If somebody likes what they're doing then OK...cool by me. I myself would just *hate* to wax that often (BTDT, took up too much of my time) but that's just me. I *can* appreciate that, well...if you want your car to always look "just waxed" after a wash, then always wax it after a wash :D

One thing I would watch out for is build up and sealed-under-wax dirt. After a few months of weekly waxing, I wouldn't be surprised if a claying/paint cleaning revealed a fair bit of dirt bonded to the paint.

The head honcho on the Megs Forum (insert name here) says exactly the same thing, but qualifies with this pertaining to a vehicle being a daily driver that spends all/most of the time outside. Says that "harboring" (my word, not his) the contaminants under the wax is a bad thing in this case, and concludes that it's best then to always either use two steps, or a cleaner wax instead.

I wax just about every time I wash. I use nuba with no cleaners Souvern Natties blue worlds best wax 50/50 ect Here's what I love when the car is dirty you can take a hose and rinse it down for about 5 minutes and then take a ww and dry it off. Car looks spotless with a shine yes no soap and no scratches

So you dont wash the paint at all? Seems that would make for more swirls than drying clean paint.

:nervous:

Everyone's saying that spray wax is better than conventional wax, but nobody is saying why? Waxing your car every time you wash it is just fine as long as you wash it and apply the wax properly. There's nothing like washing a freshly waxed finish. It's not only easier to wash, but easier to re-wax.

I guess since the wax is in a spray bottle it seems to make more sense? :lol

I say do what makes you happy. Personally I use Aquawax every week and wax/seal once a month or so. Either way I think your question was if it would do any harm. I say no as long as your paint is clean and you dont get excessive build up of wax.

The question of what product to use weekly? That could go on for some time.

Yeah, Mike and I have come to a lot of similar conclusions over the years :D IMO how often the cleanerwax needs to be used is gonna depend on the specifics of the situation.

There's actually a lot to be said for the cleaner-wax/straight wax approach. I've known some people who kept their vehicles *VERY* nice with just those two products (OTC versions too), applying the cleanerwax every now and then to start over fresh.

I hose the car down so when I am finished there is nothing on the car but water. I would never do this if any dirt or mud is on the paint. If your car has dust or pollan and is not really dirty and youe sick like me the hose method works great.

haha, glad I am not the only one who will just hose down my vehicle if it just has dust on it.
