Wax/Cleaner Wax Recommendations?

Do any of you have any recommendations?

I'm looking for a quality wax and/or cleaner wax that won't discolor the plastic trim on my brand new 2013 Ruby Red Ford Explorer XLT. Honestly, there's a LOT of plastic trim on this car, and I'd like to avoid having to tape all the plastic off each time I wax it.

Thanks in advance....

You seem to be aware that most such products will cause the dreaded "white stains".

Two that don't do that are Klasse All-In-One ("KAIO") and Collinite 845 Insulator Wax.

Use the KAIO as the cleaner-wax, then top it with the 845. Wipe both off the trim before they dry compeletely (but let them dry before buffing off on the paint). Yeah, that's right, you actually *use* these products on the trim as well as on the paint.

You gotta top the KAIO with the 845 because KAIO doesn't last long by itself (despite what the ad-copy says).

There is nothing OTC that fits that bill. Duragloss is your closest bet, DG501 is a fantastic cleaner and won't stain trim. Its also very durable. DG101 and 105 will also fit the bill, but DG501 is better than the other two.

Looks like I have a couple of products I can check out....thanks, guys!

I know firsthand that the Meguiar's NXT2 I used to use on my F150 would leave some nasty white stuff on the trim if I wasn't careful.

Yeah, it's great to just go over the trim without such worries. And using this "wax the trim" approach is a lot more convenient than using trim dresssings that a) can run in the rain, and b) usually need redone after every wash.
