Waterspots on glass help!!

So today i started to give my wife's car a full detail. Well some things came up and we had to leave in the middle of the detail. I was in the middle of claying the truck when we left. I quickly dried the truck off.

before we left i decided to do a real quick clean on the windows. I hate driving with dirty glass.

It was then i noticed some old water spots on the glass.

Here is my problem. I tried the 2 glass cleaners i had on hand and they didn't do a darn thing to the water spots. I tried claying it and tried to heavily soak the window and let it dwell.

They still look as bad as when i started. Is there something out there i can get at the local parts store to clean up the glass?

Vinagar (let it sit a while - use a MF towel), then use 0000 steel wool - rub lightly, then clean normally.

I have always used Zainos Z12 clear view(i think its called). Works very well with stubborn water spots. A little elbow grease and your good.Or you could use it with a machine I guess, I never have though

Is it okay to use a polishing wheel on glass? I just got a Porter Cable orbital for Christmas, and I'm wondering how many other ways I can use it besides buffing the paint.
