Hi. New to the forum. But not new to auto detail world.

I have a 2004 silverado that is customized. Lowered, shaved rear with caddy lights. I can't do any polishes yet due to that you have to wait atleast 3 months for the paint to fully clear.

I just ordered some nxt wash, microfiber towel and mitt. Well I washed my truck. Dried it off. I start with wheels and wheel wells first. New bucket, then I wash top to bottom. One panel a time. Keeping water on it all the time. I don't wash my truck after I drive it. I wait till it is cool. I have very few waterspots. Is there anyway that can elimate them all together?

Thanks,

Joe

You probably have some mineral laden water. Did you just recently have your truck painted? I always thought that you can polish new paint but not wax. I am sure some people will disagree on this matter though. Anthony Orosco just had a thread about removing light water spots with his Cyclo and Optimum Car Polish. The Cyclo is an awesome orbital buffer if you are not familiar with it. Optimum Car Polish is an excellent new polish that is body shop safe BTW. Water spots can be tough. I have had some that took several passes with Menzerna Power Gloss via a rotary polisher, and still were slightly visible.
